
Famous for his expressive piano playing and the innovative works he composed for that instrument. Frederic Chopin was born on March 1, 1810, in Zelazowa, near Warsaw, which is now Poland.
His father was Nicholas Chopins who was a French immigrant in Poland, he tutored many noble families. Although he later became a teacher in Warsaw Lyceum, which is a teaching institution, where Chopin later ended up attending form 1823-1826
Chopin was a child prodigy as he was talented in both a pianist and composer, he made quite a name for himself in Poland at the time. Yet in 1829 this fame later then spread to Vienna, then to Paris in 1831, becoming more and more famous for being a piano teacher and composer.
Some of his famous compositions include:
1. Nocturnes, Op. 9
2. Study Op. 10, No. 12 in C minor
3. Prelude, Op. 28, No. 15. “The drop of Rain”.
4. Concerto for Piano No. 2 in F minor, Op. 21
5. Ballad for piano No. 1, in G minor op. 23.
Although on October 17, 1849, in Paris, France at the age of 39 Frederic passed away.
