     A child prodigy, widely recognized as one of the greatest composers in the history of Western music. "His taste, his command of form, and his range of expression have made him seem the most universal of all composers" (Stanley Sadie, 'Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart'). 

     Born on January 27, 1756, in Salzburg, Austria, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart son of Leopold and Maria Pertl Mozart. He was considered to be remarkable at such a young age as he had an early talent for music. As when he was three years old he was picking out chords on the harpsichord. He was also capable of playing a lot of different instruments such as the viola, harpsichord/clavichord, violin, and fortepiano. He composed pieces that included a variety of types, them being, operas, concertos, sonatas, and symphonies, that showcased his emotions and true talent. 

     Some of his famous pieces are: 

  1. Rondo a La Turka (from the Sonata for Piano in A Major; K. 331)

  2. Fantasia in D minor K.397

  3. 12 Variations on “Ah, vous dirai-je, Maman”;  K.265

  4. Piano Concerto No. 21 in C Major K. 467

  5. Piano Sonata No. 15, in C K.545

He then died on December 5, 1791 (aged 35)

in Vienna, Austria
