
Writing piano pieces for his wife was his specialty as many of them are his most-known pieces. This person was Robert Alexander Schumann, he is a German composer from the Romantic era, known for his piano music as well as his orchestral music.
Born on June 8, 1810, in Zwickau, Saxony which is now known as Germany. His father was a bookseller and a publisher, and so he didn't teach him music. Although Schumman began learning about music at the age of six by learning the piano. Yet in 1827 is when he was musically inspired after witnessing the compositions of the famous Franz Schubert and reading the poetry of the German poet Jean Paul Richter.
He also went to the University of Leipzig to study law although he ended up styling song composition and improvisation of the piano. He studied music seriously with his teacher Friedrich Wieck, as well as being first introduced to his future wife Clara who was coincidentally the daughter of Wieck.

2. Kreisleriana
3. Kinderszenen
4. Études Symphoniques
5. Piano Concerto
Although on July 29, 1856, in Bonn, the cause of death
was schizophrenia and depression.
